Dr. Johnson is a native of Athens, Georgia and has been better known to his family and friends as “Weedy” since he was a toddler. Dr. Johnson attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate and graduated with honors from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.
Dr. Pinsky was born in Panama, Central America while her father served as a career Army officer. Dr. Pinsky knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the moment she could say the word “vet.”
Dr. Gould grew up in Buffalo, NY, then moved to California to finish high school. Dr. Gould obtained a B.S in Conservation before earning her degree in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis.Dr. Gould was lucky to set up her first practice in the wine country for several years then moved to Georgian with her son, Dylan, in 2006. Dr. Gould joined Dunwoody AMC in 2015 as a relief veterinarian then joined the team full time in 2019. She enjoys hiking, gardening and playing with her family, which includes her son, boyfriend, dog, and two cats.
Andrea Hobe has been a receptionist and veterinary assistant at Dunwoody Animal Medical Center since 2006. After graduating from Colby College in Maine, Andrea moved to Atlanta to work in marketing.
Angela Luber has been a veterinary assistant at DAMC since 1997 and has lived in Atlanta since 1995. She studied cardiovascular technology at Sanford Brown College and is a registered diagnostic echocardiographer.
Holly Hains has been a veterinary assistant at DAMC since 1996. Holly enjoys working with all of the different animals and the camaraderie with her coworkers.
Erika Miller has been working at Dunwoody Animal Medical Center since 2000. Erika started in the kennel and began working as a veterinary assistant since 2003.
Jenny Youmans is fairly new to the reception desk at DAMC and is enjoying being back at work after spending the last few years as a stay-at-home Mom.
Monica Strong has been a veterinary assistant at DAMC since moving to Atlanta in 2007 from McRae, Georgia. Monica enjoys taking care of hospitalized patients and assisting the veterinarians and her co-workers as needed.
Tim Mercurio has been with the Dunwoody Animal Medical Center since 1999 and lived in Atlanta for the past 22 years. Tim is our renaissance man and wears several hats to facilitate the smooth operation of the clinic.
Valerie Smarr has been a receptionist at DAMC for three years. A rare native of Atlanta, Valerie graduated from M.D. Collins High School and Clayton State University.
