Ultrasound uses sound waves to create an image on a screen that allows us to see through tissues and organs. While X-rays allows to see things in a 2 dimensional view, ultrasound allows us to look into the organs for a more thorough evaluation. While it should be considered as a complement to X-rays, it reveals a much greater amount of information about each organ such as size, thickness of walls, presence of tumors within the organs, and more. We use it almost daily to help us provide your pet with the best care.
